Dear Affiliate Coordinators:
On behalf of IUPAC, I would like to thank you for your participation in the Affiliate Membership Program. If you wish to renew your Country’s IUPAC Affiliate Membership for 2017, please send me the number of affiliates along with a list of their names (complete with full first name and last name), addresses, and email addresses. Attached is an Excel spreadsheet for your use in submitting the names of your affiliates. This information should be sent as soon as possible or not later than 15 December 2016 so that your affiliates can receive all the benefits available to them beginning in 2017. The IUPAC affiliate membership fee for Chemical Societies and other Organizations will remain at USD 20.00 for each affiliate in 2017. Payment can be made by credit card, or USD Check made out to IUPAC and mailed to the PO Box address below, and; also, by bank transfer. An invoice with payment insructions will be sent to you as soon as I receive your information.
The 2017 affiliate Membership Card and Certificate will be available as a “Pdf file” and it will be directly sent to your affiliates by email. These documents are for their records and printing as needed. Additionally, your affiliates will receive issues of the IUPAC magazine, Chemistry International. In 2017, there will be four print editions of CI , each mailed in the first month of each quarter.
IUPAC encourages Affiliates to participate in IUPAC-Endorsed Conferences. Affiliates receive a 10% discount on registration to attend IUPAC-Endorsed Conferences. However, IUPAC does not provide financial assistance for Affiliates to attend these conferences. For questions regarding IUPAC-sponsored conferences, contact information for Organizers is listed on the IUPAC website at https://iupac.org/ and click on “Events”.
