Fuel cell technology and its relevance to Indian context have laid the greater emphasis on its further development and utilization in a variety of energy-based issues. We have been developing this technology over the past few years in order to effectively utilize it for a variety of commercial and household applications. A discussion will be made on the fundamentals of fuel technology, its relevance, and technological implications of its future development. Some of our laboratory results will be presented in relation to general aspects of the problem. While the emphasis will be more on the discussion of PEM and MEA, other types of fuel cells will also be mentioned. Issues related to the success of the fuel technology in the context of Indian scenario will be discussed.
Talk will be max of 55 min duration, with a discussion of any length of time that is convenient to the audience.
