The Institute of Chemistry, along with the International Affairs Office of Academia Sinica, is pleased to host the first TSRI-AS Joint Conference on Chemical Sciences in Taiwan with the hope of fostering the bilateral friendship and promoting scientific interaction among scholars and graduate students. A molecular revolution cocktailed with the interdisciplinary approach has always played an essential enabling role in developing and advancing new scientific ingenuities. Thus, the main theme of the symposium is to highlight numerous innovative and high impact “Chemical Sciences” currently being undertaken in TSRI and AS to address the three key challenges facing our human civilization, namely energy, health and environment. Seven scientists from TRSI and AS will present their research data and will be available during the entire symposium. Their lectures will cover a broad but significant range of contemporary topics in chemical sciences, including catalysis, innovative synthetic strategies and molecular driven biological applications.
