The 13th International Symposium on Solubility Phenomena and Related Equilibrium Processes (13th ISSP) will be held at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, from July 27th to 31st, 2008. This is the latest in a successful series of biennial meetings that bring together scientists from diverse areas where solubility and associated equilibria play important roles.
The 13th ISSP will continue the tradition of multidisciplinarity with contributions ranging from theory and modelling, biological systems, industrial processes, environmental chemistry and geochemistry among others.
The programme includes Plenary and Keynote lectures, oral presentations, a poster session and a workshop relating to the IUPAC Stability Constants database project. As always, contributors will be drawn from a wide range of countries (over 30 were represented at the 12th ISSP). The language of the Symposium will be English.
Dublin, Ireland’s capital city, which was founded over one thousand years ago, combines the charm of a mature European capital with the excitement of one of the continent’s fastest growing modern cities. Located in the centre of the city, the 16th century Trinity College provides modern conference facilities and accommodation within its elegant period buildings which, among other treasures, house the famous illuminated Book of Kells.
