16th International Conference on Organometallic Chemistry Directed Toward Organic Synthesis
We cordially invite your participation in the 16th IUPAC International Symposium on Organometallic Chemistry Directed Towards Organic Synthesis (OMCOS 16) to be held in Shanghai, China during the period of July 24 (Sun)-28 (Thu), 2011. It will be organized by Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry (SIOC), Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS) and East China Normal University, under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.
Shanghai will host the OMCOS meeting for the first time following the successful series of this symposium held at Fort Collins (1981), Dijon (1983), Kyoto (1985), Vancouver (1987), Florence (1989), Utrecht (1991), Kobe (1993), Santa Barbara (1995), Gottingen (1997), Versailles (1999), Taipei (2001), Toronto (2003), Geneva (2005), Nara (2007), and Glasgow (2009). The venue for the symposium will be the Shanghai International Convention Center, located in the heart of Lujiazui---Shanghai's Financial & Trade Zone, southwest to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower.
OMCOS brings together chemists from industry and academia from all over the world to present and discuss the latest advances in organic synthesis with organometallic reagents, metal-mediated or -catalyzed reactions, asymmetric synthesis and catalysis, structural and mechanistic aspects of organometallics, environmentally benign processes using metals. The symposium program will feature plenary, OMCOS Award lecture, invited lectures, short communications, poster sessions, and exhibitions. Established leaders in the field, young and emerging investigators, and leading scientists from industry will share their results with you.
