The PhosAgro/UNESCO/IUPAC Green Chemistry for Life Grant Programme releases the first call for special grants for research projects on phosphogypsum
First call for applications - 2016
Deadline: 10 May 2016
In response to societal and environmental needs, PhosAgro, UNESCO and IUPAC are launching a special call for applications. This special grant will be awarded to a project in green chemistry, by a young scientist, focusing on innovations in the processing and utilization of phosphogypsum, a mineral technogenic waste material produced in great quantities.
The deadline for submission of applications for this first round is 10 May 2016. A second round of applications will be announced in September 2016.

This new initiative complements the original PhosAgro/UNESCO/IUPAC grant programme aims at promoting the implementation of innovative research projects in green chemistry by young scientists that respect the 12 principles of green chemistry. Young scientists aged 35 years or less with a PhD degree (or equivalent) in chemistry or its allied areas are invited to compete. Successful projects will be selected by an international scientific jury. Grants will be up to US$30,000 and should be awarded for research that may be completed in one year.
Young scientists are invited to submit their applications for the third round of PhosAgro/UNESCO/IUPAC grants in green chemistry no later then 28 February 2016. The fourth round of applications will be announced in September 2016.
