5th NICE Conference (2013/7/25-27)
The first NICE symposium (Network for Inter-Asian Chemistry Education)
Aims
The aims of 5th NICE symposium are promoting the information communication between inter-Asian chemistry educators, exchanging the chemistry teaching strategies and materials in different countries, as well as sharing the fruitful results.

Topics
The conference would like to bridge the gap between chemistry researchers and chemistry teachers. Except the academic research dissemination, the conference is devoted to increase the opportunities of the communication between theory and empirical teaching. The discussion topics are based on the real needs of in-service teachers to create. After the conference, we look forward to increase the communication between chemistry scholars and chemistry teachers as well as to provide more and more efficient assistance in real classroom instruction. Follows are the topics in the conference:

Students’ conceptions and conceptual change
Analysis of classroom discourse and instructional strategies
Lab activities
Chemistry in daily life
Use of audio-visual instruments in classes
Attitude toward chemistry
